Bart H. Chepenik, the firm’s founder, began his career with international tax and accounting firm, Arthur Andersen LLP, where he spent seven years focused in that company’s state and local tax practice concentrating on representation of and consultation to mid-size and large private and public companies in all facets of state and local taxation, including income/franchise tax planning, sales and use tax planning, state transfer tax planning, corporate restructuring planning and implementation, state tax audit representation, state tax process automation, and voluntary disclosures.

In 2002, Bart discovered the great pleasure of assisting individuals and their families in estate planning, probate, trust and guardianship administrations, a new direction which he began pursuing with the same passion he brought to his corporate clients at Arthur Andersen. This blend of experience in corporate law, taxation, estate planning, probate and trust administration has helped distinguish Bart H. Chepenik, P.A. as one of the premier small law firms in the state of Florida. Bart is also an owner of MCM Title Services, LLC, a full service, attorney-owned and operated title and escrow company which offers a full complement of residential and commercial title, escrow and closing services for the South Florida area.

Bart is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.A., English, 1990), Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center (J.D., 1994) and the University of Miami College of Law (LL.M., Taxation, 1995), and has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1994, including that organization’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Section and Tax Section, as well as numerous other organizations. Bart is a frequent speaker in the area of estate planning
