Ryan Grubich, an associate at Chepenik Trushin LLP, concentrates on complex commercial litigation, probate and trust litigation, and insurance defense and coverage disputes. Mr. Grubich is an experienced litigation attorney who has traveled throughout the state of Florida and across the United States representing clients, taking and defending depositions, and attending hearings in front of both state and federal court judges. In addition to his involvement in probate and trust litigation and complex commercial litigation, Mr. Grubich serves in a leadership role in the management and operation of the firm’s insurance defense practice, where he serves as a mentor and advisor to the firm’s other associates. Since joining the firm as a law clerk in 2012, Mr. Grubich has been involved in the areas of insurance defense and commercial litigation. After he transitioned to an associate position with the firm, Mr. Grubich maintained an active role in insurance defense, while expanding his practice to include litigating probate and trust disputes.
After graduating as the valedictorian of LaSalle-Peru Township High School in Illinois, Mr. Grubich moved to South Florida and attended the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University. While attending the Honors College at FAU, Mr. Grubich double majored in Political Science and Mathematics, graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences. While at FAU, Mr. Grubich received numerous honors, including the 2008-09 Most Outstanding Junior Award and the 2010 Outstanding Thesis Award for his work using statistical regression analysis to determine lower court compliance with Supreme Court precedent in First Amendment cases.
Mr. Grubich enjoyed his experience in South Florida and, immediately after graduating from FAU, he attended the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the Business Law Review and UM’s nationally ranked Moot Court and was a Dean’s Fellow in the legal research and writing department. Prior to joining Chepenik Trushin LLP as a law clerk, Mr. Grubich interned for the Honorable Judge Edwin Torres at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and for the Honorable Judge Leslie Rothenberg at the Third District Court of Appeal. During his internships, Mr. Grubich was able to refine his research and writing skills while working on a wide variety of cases involving Florida law. Mr. Grubich graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law.
